What is the Stretch Index (SI)?
The Stretch Index is a newly introduced parameter that measures the dimensional rigidity of fabric – its ability to resist deformation and maintain shape under tension. This index is essential in determining whether a particular fabric is suitable for specific roller blind dimensions, and it also aids in deciding if a more robust system and/or ZOOMTECH® technology should be used. The Stretch Index ranges from 1 to 4, with 1 indicating the highest performance.
How does the Stretch Index work?
The Stretch Index is one of several parameters that influence the maximum dimensions of the fabric. In our B2B configurator, you can now find the maximum fabric dimensions for each fabric group (FAMILY), calculated based on the Stretch Index. Unlike other manufacturers, who only consider the roller size and system dimensions, we use this parameter to help you:
Evaluate fabric suitability: Based on the SI value, the configurator can assess whether the selected fabric is suitable for the desired roller blind dimensions.
Suggest optimal system: If the fabric does not meet the required dimensions, the configurator will recommend switching to a more robust system or using ZOOMTECH® technology to ensure a flawless appearance without deflection of the winding tube or fabric distortion.
Prevent unsuitable choices: If the fabric is not suitable for the specified dimensions, the configurator will display a warning and offer an alternative solution.
